10 Things That Happen When You Workout With a Personal Trainer

When you start working out with a personal trainer, a lot of things in your life will change, not just the way your body looks. Obviously, you’ll have to adjust to more of your friends and family telling you how ridiculously good looking you’ve become recently, but what other things can you expect to change? 10 things that happen when you work out with a personal trainer

  1. You’ll feel more confident in the gym

Gone are the days where you creep into the gym early and avoid the workout machines you don’t know how to use. You’ll never feel exiled by the free weights and the treadmills again, because a trainer teaches you how and when to use the right equipment.

  1. You’ll start to shop smarter at the grocery

If your trainer is also a nutrition coach like Craig Chapin is, they will constantly be asking you about your nutrition, encouraging you to stay on track. You’ll have their voice in the back of your mind while you check out the fresh produce and steer away from the potato chip aisle.

  1. You’ll start eating healthier snacks

You might think that small 100-calorie snack packs are a healthy alternative to binging on some chips or crackers, but a personal trainer will tell you otherwise. You’ll learn that a healthy handful of almonds or some afternoon raspberries are much better snacks and you’ll remember that when you get those afternoon hungries.

  1. You’ll talk about working out a lot more

Since you’ll be spending more time in the gym, you’ll be thinking about it a lot more. You’ll find yourself joining in on conversations about new workouts and gyms, even if it’s only to brag about how awesome your trainer is!

  1. You’ll buy more workout clothes

Since you’ll be spending more time in your workout clothes, you’ll naturally gravitate towards that section in Target or Walmart. This might be a girl thing, but even if you’re just going to Target for toilet paper, you can’t help but find yourself in that Active Wear section.

  1. You’ll have more energy

You’ll find yourself spending less time on the couch and more time up and about. If you used to spend a good amount of your weekend on the couch with your Netflix account, you’d probably rather head out to the beach to show off what you’ve been working so hard for in the gym instead.

  1. You’ll look forward to going to the gym

Those early Monday workouts are never easy to get up for, but you’ll find yourself looking forward to your workouts because you know your personal trainer is going to help you reach your goals and there is nothing more fulfilling than that!

  1. You’ll drink more water

Working out more will mean you need to stay hydrated. Craig is always reminding his clients to drink somewhere between 5-8 glasses of water a day especially after working out in the hot Tampa sun. You’ll need to replace the water you sweat out but you’ll also find yourself steering away from sodas and coffee because you won’t need the caffeine!

  1. You’ll try out new workouts and fitness classes

Once you’ve gained the confidence from working out with a personal trainer, you’ll be inspired to try other new workouts. If you’re anything like Craig Chapin’s clients, you’re a pretty loyal client, but it’s never a bad idea to call around to local studios and take advantage of their free sessions!

  1. You’ll wake up earlier

Even on the days when you don’t have to set your alarm for an early workout with your personal trainer, you’ll recognize that you’re naturally waking up earlier, ready to take on the day!
